I thought I would make my first food post about one of the most amazing places I have visited – St. Josep La Boqueria. This is a large, covered marketplace in Barcelona with a variety of fresh foods, prepared foods and tapas! It is probably one of the most famous and well-known eating spots in the city.
Barcelona was mine and my husband’s second stop on our honeymoon, after Palma de Mallorca. Barcelona is also where I discovered my favorite tapas dish – chipirones fritos. Chipirones fritos is a simple dish of battered and deep fried baby squids. It is often served with lemon wedges on the side meant to be squeezed on top to add a little bit of a citrus flavor.
Sadly, I have yet to find a place in Dallas that serves this dish. If anyone knows of a place, let me know!
